valhalla @ no black tie, 17th november 2003, no black tie...

-report-

performed at valhalla @ no black tie on monday, 17th november... the super-nice and ever funky duo of Beryl and Jaz organised the evening and this was the first valhalla event held at no black tie...

Saiful of Y2K opened the festivities by playing 3 songs on his brand new 3 day old acoustic guitar... Light Of My Life is a beautiful song... the next time you see him live, make sure you scream for that song...

for my set that evening, i managed to put together an acoustic band with the brilliant Nan Blues on lead guitar and blues harp and Amit on djembe...

Nan and I first did Round And Round and She Once Said minus percussions and then Amit got onstage and we played Pretend Sometime, What Should I Say?, Haven't You Got A Clue? and Distracted and that was the first set...

after a short break, i started the second set by playing Lost It All on my own before Nan joined me on Find Me, my friend Nasir then got up to play the djembe for Lagu Malas and then we played It Took A While with Amit back on djembe duties... we closed our set with Apa? with Nasir again on percussions...

thank you Jaz and Beryl for all your help and support, thank you Saiful for helping me out and playing a set, thank you Nan, Amit and Nasir for making my songs sound really, really good and thank you to my friends for coming and making so much noise... i'm not worthy, i'm not worthy...
